Belgium Tempest is a Belgium strong styled golden lager with plenty of malty flavour and rounded awarding characteristics. Tempest is traditionally brewed with Nelson hops to a high alcohol level that enhances the warmth and vigour of this great beer style. A very old recipe makes this tempest worth a try.

Big John Special Reserve 6.5% - Strong Dark

Big John Special Reserve has Kentucky Bourbon infused into this strong dark with the flavours of roasted malts along with the oak and bourbon to give it’s unique roasted flavour a difference. Totally Enjoyable!

A smooth but strong stout using traditional european roasted malts.

Clydesdale is fermented with our own unique top fermenting ale yeast, producing a smooth creamy head. Delicious!

Crusade Draught 4% - Whole Malt Draught

A whole malt draught with no additives. Bodied with flavour from coloured malts and a subtle edge hop. Our own brew without the 'commercial mainstream' draught beer taste.

Doppelbock 8% - Strong Amber Brew

Doppelbock is brewed to the traditional style of a strong German styled lager, hence the high alcohol volume. Red/Amber in colour with a smooth and malty full body texture, balanced out with a subtle hop influence. Enough goodness in this brew to call a glass of Doppelbock a meal.

East Indies 5% - Indian Lager

Our newest addition to the family; released November 2009! East Indies is batched brewed to the authentic style of an East Indian beer. Amber in colour, full in flavour light on the palate with a hop edge to compliment a dry finish. We love it, and know you will too.

Hefeweizen Weiss Bier 5% -  Cloudy Wheat Beer

Hefeweizen literally means “yeast in wheat beer” and the suspended yeast gives the beer the characteristic (and desired) cloudiness. The classical aroma and flavour characteristics are there. Challenging to some palates, this beer is spritzy and quenching.

Sobering Thought 1.0% - Low Alcohol Dark

Specialty low strength beer, exclusively brewed for the The Lord of the Rings™ trilogy. The set required an authentic looking low strength beer so their actors could perform unimpaired.

To do this we took our handcrafted Clydesdale Stout and reduced the alcohol level down to just one percent, whilst maintaining the great flavour and strong bold appearance. It's been such a hit, we've continued to brew it and make Sobering Thought available to the public.

Strongman is a strong refreshing but hoppy New Zealand lager. This golden lager has a passionfruit aroma created by using our “Hop Back” method with the infamous Nelson Sauvin Hop that leaves a lingering aroma and a crisp bite on the palate.
